¡Bienvenidos a Musou! Podéis llamarme E (o Kurenai), soy española, y este es un blog en el que iré publicando fotos de la época en que viví en Japón, junto con los recuerdos o las reflexiones que se me vengan a la cabeza al volver a verlas y compartirlas con vosotros. He de decir que no soy una fotógrafa profesional, por lo que la mayoría de mis imágenes tendrán una calidad que puede dejar algo que desear. Sin embargo, si las publico aquí será porque para mí tienen un significado especial, o porque quiero contar algo sobre ellas. Además, me gustaría que este blog me sirviese también para practicar inglés y japonés, así que escribiré las publicaciones en las tres lenguas. No dudéis en corregirme si cometo algún error, sobre todo en japonés. Espero que esta retrospectiva de los años que pasé en el país del sol naciente sea de vuestro interés y que os suma en una especie de ensoñación, como yo cada vez que recuerdo con nostalgia los años que pasé allí. ¡Ojalá disfrutéis de estos pequeños fragmentos de mi día a día en tierras niponas!

Welcome to Musou! You can call me E (or Kurenai), I'm Spanish, and this is a blog where I'll upload the pictures I took during my years in Japan, alongside the memories or thoughts that come to my mind when I see and share them again with all of you. It has to be said that I'm not a professional photographer, so don't expect great quality photos, but rather blurred and out of focus ones. However, if I share them here it's because they're meaningful to me, or because I want to write something about them. Besides, I'd like to use this blog to practice English and Japanese as well, so I'll write my posts in these three languages. Feel free to correct me if I make some mistakes (specially in Japanese), please! I hope you like my nostalgic walk down memory lane. Maybe it will plunge you into a kind of reverie, like every time I remember the years I spent there. Enjoy this ride through these fragments of my daily life in Japan!

夢想へようこそ！E(エ)やくれないと呼んでも良いです。スペイン人す。このブログは私が日本に住んだ時の写真と感想をあげるコーナにすると思います。プロではないので、写真はくっきりとったことは多くありませんが、私にとって特別な意味やその写真について言いたいことがある画像だと思います。それに、ここで英語や日本語を練習するつもりなので、投稿はみつの言語でアップロードします。もちろん、間違いがあれば、ぜひ教えてください！私の日本の思い出に興味を持ったら、幸いです！

昨今、日本で滞在した時期を思い出したら、あの日々は夢想のような感覚がするし、その懐かしみに満たされた気持ちを感じてくれればというか共感できれば、嬉しいと思います！

  Spider-Man: "Do you fancy some beer, yo?" [English below 日本語は下記] La foto que traigo hoy la tomé en un puesto de bebidas durante un festival que se celebra anualmente en el santuario de Nezu, en Tokio. Reconozco que simplemente me hizo gracia que hubiesen puesto un muñeco de Spiderman ahí, y por eso le saqué una foto. Sin embargo, creo que esta imagen resume muy bien un aspecto que yo encuentro muy particular de Japón: Encontrar lo inesperado en los lugares más azarosos. Shirakawa-go (1)

Yukatas in Shirakawa-go  [En español debajo 日本語は下記]  Once, I did a trip to Shirakawa-go, Takayama, and Gifu. Shirakawa-go is a little old village renowned because of its picturesque landscape and atmosphere. It is also a World Heritage Site, and I must say it is really well deserved. Walking around the village, nestled in the quiet mountains of Gifu, you can feel transported to another time. There are almost no cars, and the traditional houses are really something out of this world. I took many pictures there, so photogenic a place it is, but this is one of my favorites (I will post more of Shirakawa-go some other day, don't worry). Not that it shows the typical image of the wooden houses and the beautiful farm fields that surround them, but I thought it captured a very peculiar daily life moment of the place: The yukatas of the guests of an inn hung out to dry after the laundry. Most likely, it woudn't have called my attention if what was hung out to dry was more vulgar attire

Modern in Antique

  Lady in kimono taking photos of red autumn leaves [Español debajo 日本語は下記] Again, a photo showing a contrast, this one between the modern day technology and the old attire that is still widely used in Japan (in certain occasions) nowadays. I took this picture in a temple in Kyoto, when I was, like everyone else there, hunting for red autumn leaves ( momijigari). That is to say, going to spots with beautiful aumtun leaves and taking photos of them, like the lady above. She caught my attention inmediatly, since she was the only one wearing a kimono (look at those patterns: very atumn-like indeed!), a very traditional and typical image, were it not for the modern reflex camera she is using. Come to think of it, you can consider this too a typical image now: Japanese people wearing traditional clothes ( kimono , yukata , and so on) and using the latest smartphones, cameras and whatnot.
