  Osu Arcade Shopping Area [Español debajo 日本語は下記] Today I wanted to post a picture of the city I used to live in Japan, but then I came across this one I took during a trip to Nagoya, and had to upload it. One of my best photos ever, no doubt. I was just wandering around the Osu Arcade covered shopping area after having visited the Osu Kannon Temple, which is just incredibly beautiful (go for a visit if you have the chance); simply enjoying the just a little bit decayed atmosphere of the place, unusually quiet and uncrowded (mostly because it was a Sunday, I believe). Then, I saw those big Osu electric lanterns, and felt like I had to photograph them. Grey heron in Arashiyama   [English below 日本語は下記]   Buscando entre mis archivos de fotos de Japón, me he encontrado con esta foto de una garza japonesa que hice en Arashiyama. Me ha parecido muy apropiada para publicarla ahora que han bajado las temperaturas, ya que la tomé en otoño, cuando ya empezaba a hacer un poco de frío, y las garzas suelen asociarse con el invierno. ¿Qué habrá sido de ella después de estos años? 〜〜〜 While browsing my folders of pictures from Japan, I came across this photo I took of a grey heron in Arashiyama. I think it is the perfect timing to post it, since the autumn crisp weather is already here with us, and herons are usually used to represent the cold of the coming winter. What will have become of it throughout these years? 〜〜〜 日本の写真のアーカイブを見ていたら、この嵐山で撮った青鷺の写真を見つけました。ここで、もうすっかり秋らしい天気になってきたので、タイミングにぴったりだと思って投稿しました。今になって、写真の青鷺はどうなってきたなーというのが気になるますね。

Paper lanterns in Meguro River [ English and Spanish below] この写真は数年前の東京の目黒川桜まつりで取りました。もちろん花見を見に行ったり、写真いっぱい撮ったりしました。しかし、この提灯の写真は一番誇りに思うかもしれない。単純に言えば、色合いは綺麗すぎて感動させられます。私は花見というのを良く憧れますね。「今年も花は咲いていて、花たちの儚い華美を鑑賞しましょう！」という気持ちでお祭りを行って楽しめるのは珍しく感慨深いだと思います。スペインではこいう習慣は無いからです。今でも、日本人（みんなではないけど）は自然をとても尊敬するし、良く自然に目を向け、感心されるという気がします。そういうことはとても好きです。  〜〜〜 Esta es una foto que tomé hace unos años de los farolillos del río Meguro (Tokio) que colocan cada año durante la floración de los cerezos en ambas riberas del mismo. La gente suele ir a ver las flores y a hacerse fotos, y luego suele tomar algo en los puestos de comida y bebida que normalmente ponen a lo largo del río. Es una especie de festival de contemplación de las flores muy popular, con hordas de gente abarrotando los lugares donde hay cerezos en flor, y el ambiente es muy animado y alegre. Sin embargo, en esta parte del río, no suele haber tanta, ya que no hay puestos de bebida ni comida, y se puede pasear y apreciar las flores con más tranqu

Yukatas in Shirakawa-go  [En español debajo 日本語は下記]  Once, I did a trip to Shirakawa-go, Takayama, and Gifu. Shirakawa-go is a little old village renowned because of its picturesque landscape and atmosphere. It is also a World Heritage Site, and I must say it is really well deserved. Walking around the village, nestled in the quiet mountains of Gifu, you can feel transported to another time. There are almost no cars, and the traditional houses are really something out of this world. I took many pictures there, so photogenic a place it is, but this is one of my favorites (I will post more of Shirakawa-go some other day, don't worry). Not that it shows the typical image of the wooden houses and the beautiful farm fields that surround them, but I thought it captured a very peculiar daily life moment of the place: The yukatas of the guests of an inn hung out to dry after the laundry. Most likely, it woudn't have called my attention if what was hung out to dry was more vulgar attire

  Santuario Sengen de Tamagawa〜Tamagawa Sengen Shrine〜多摩川浅間神社 [English below 日本語は下記] ¡Bienvenidos a Musou! Podéis llamarme E (o Kurenai), soy española, y este es un blog en el que iré publicando fotos de la época en que viví en Japón, junto con los recuerdos o las reflexiones que se me vengan a la cabeza al volver a verlas y compartirlas con vosotros. He de decir que no soy una fotógrafa profesional, por lo que la mayoría de mis imágenes tendrán una calidad que puede dejar algo que desear. Sin embargo, si las publico aquí será porque para mí tienen un significado especial, o porque quiero contar algo sobre ellas. Además, me gustaría que este blog me sirviese también para practicar inglés y japonés, así que escribiré las publicaciones en las tres lenguas. No dudéis en corregirme si cometo algún error, sobre todo en japonés. Espero que esta retrospectiva de los años que pasé en el país del sol naciente sea de vuestro interés y que os suma en una especie de ensoñación , como yo cada vez
