お台場といえば、フジテレビビルや自由の女神などですよね。だからこそ、あんな代表的な観光スポットを別にして、より穏やかなビーチを見せたかったです。まあ、人気がないというわけがありませんが、ただそんなに賑やかじゃないです。ちなみに、お台場は東京の中でとても好きな所です。特に、日暮れの光景が感動させられるので、夕方に行くことが多かったです。夕日の空はだんだん暗くなって、レインボーブリッジは明るくなって、船たちもキラキラでカラフルなイルミネーションをつけました。 闇は自分の身を少しずつ覆われ、静かな空気で向こうの鮮やかな明るさを眺めるのが好きでした。賑やかな街は近くても、まだ明るくなく安らかな場所にいる事が出来ます。こういう対照のようには日本の一つの魅力だと思いますね。

If you have ever been to Odaiba, you know the most popular spots are the Fuji TV building, the Statue of Liberty, and such. However, leaving those aside, I wanted to show you a photo of Odaiba's Beach at nightfall, when it is a bit calmer. There is still some people, but it is certainly not as bustling as other areas of this artificial island. Odaiba is one of my favourite places in Tokio, specially at sunset, since the views are superb. That is why I used to go around twilight, when the sun was setting down and the sky was slowly turning dark, while the Raibow Bridge became alit with that impressive illumination it is well known for, and the recreational cruises turned on their vivid, colourful lights. I liked to gaze at the bright and flashy lights from the other side as the darkness was covering me little by little in the quiet atmosphere of the beach. The loud and busy city was still just a few steps away, but you could be in a silent and peaceful place close to that craziness. In my opinion, that contrast is one of Japan's best charms.

Si habéis estado alguna vez en Odaiba, sabréis que algunos de los lugares más populares son el edificio de Fuji TV o la Estatua de la Libertad. Sin embargo, dejando esos lugares tan conocidos aparte, quería enseñaros una foto de la Playa de Odaiba al anochecer, cuando no está tan concurrida. Aun así, hay bastante gente, pero ni por asomo tanta como en otros lugares más animados de esta isla artificial, que es uno de mis lugares favoritos de Tokio, sobre todo al atardecer, momento en que el panoroma es espectacular. Por eso solía ir a Odaiba a la hora del crepúsculo, cuando el sol se estaba metiendo y el cielo se iba oscurenciendo paulatinamente, mientras el Rainbow Bridge se encendía con su impresionante iluminación, y los cruceros recreativos ponían sus luces coloridas y brillantes. A mí me gustaba contemplar las luces radiantes y llamativas del otro lado al tiempo que la oscuridad iba envolviéndome poco a poco en aquel rincón silencioso y tranquilo de la playa. A pesar de que la ciudad y su ajetreo están a tan sólo unos pasos de distancia, es posible hallar un sitio plácido y sereno en mitad de la vorágine que es Tokio, y por ende, Odaiba. Este tipo de contraste es uno de los grandes encantos de Japón, en mi opinión.
